Diary of a cat:

My claws continue to irritate me, catching on small threads and puffs.

They again ate a rich meal of meat, while the other prisoners and I again ate crackers or something like dry nuggets. Even though I am absolutely clear about my contempt for my diet, I have to eat at least something to maintain my strength. The only thing that fuels my strength is the thought of running away.

I tear furniture and carpet over and over again in an attempt to discredit them. Today I decapitated a mouse and brought its lifeless body to their feet. I hoped that this display of my power would strike fear into their hearts. However, they just made a condescending comment about what a nice little hunter I am… Bastards.

Tonight they gathered their accomplices. During this time I was placed in solitary confinement. Anyway, I could hear them talking and smell the food. I overheard that my conclusion was in connection with such a force unknown to me as “Allergy”. I have to study it, find out how I can use it to escape.

Today, I was closer than ever to eliminating one of them: I wrapped myself around my leg and almost knocked him down at the moment when he was walking. I’ll have to try it tomorrow, just on the top rung of the stairs.

I am convinced that the rest of the prisoners are servants and informers. The dog has a number of privileges. She is regularly taken out into the street and it seems to me that she is more pleased with the return home than freedom. She’s definitely behind. The bird is definitely an informer. I watch her interact with the guards on a regular basis. I’m sure she reports on my every move. My captors set up a special protective barrier for the bird, which hangs high from the ceiling. So she’s safe… for now…
